Each winter, there are those in our community who struggle to pay their winter heating bills to keep warm. This includes elderly persons on fixed incomes, or those who have experienced an unexpected job loss or major illness.
The HES Project Share program was designed to allow our customers to have an impact on this community issue. The program works by collecting many small contributions that are combined to create a larger pool of money to assist those in need. The combined contributions are then matched dollar for dollar by HES, and the total amount sent to Pennyrile Allied Community Services (PACS) which disperses it each winter to local residents who qualify for heating assistance funding.
We urge all HES customers to consider rounding their monthly bill up to the nearest dollar to make a significant positive impact on our community. Any contribution you can make will help. Thank you in advance for your support.
