Disconnect service

What you’ll need…

There may be things you need to have ready to include or attach to our online request form. Once submitted, a customer service representative will call you to finalize your request and take your payment. If you’re visiting the HES office, bring these items with you as well as your payment for the connection fee and deposit.

Click any of the requirements for more details.

A valid photo ID must be provided as proof of identity. Accepted forms of ID include a government-issues photo ID or passport.

If you’re visiting the HES office to start service, bring this item with you.

You must provide the date you want the service turned off.

Things to note…

These are just a few things you might want to know about the process for disconnecting your service. We’d also like to point out that only a person listed on the account may request the disconnection process.

Click any of the notes for more details.

Your final meter reading will be taken when the service is disconnected.

If you have a deposit, your final bill will be deducted from the deposit.

If you have a surplus, a check will be mailed to you. If the deposit does not cover your final amount due, a bill for the remaining amount will be sent to the forwarding address you provide.
